Son of Cliche

I can't believe it's 25 years since Chris Barrie, Nick Maloney and I performed in Son of Cliche. Written by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, produced by Alan Nixon, we did three series and picked up a Sony award. The first series was recorded at the Gate at The Latchmere Theatre and then we moved into The Paris Studios. Thanks to Alan for this picture. Happy Memories.

(Nick "See-thru Kid" Wilton, Nick "Asso" Maloney and Chris "Massive" Barrie)

Hoping we can all get together later in the month

  3. Big fan. Not that long ago(?) But where can we listen to the recordings? Not wiped by the Beeb along with so much else of our heritage I hope.

  4. They do get repeated on BBC Radio 4 extra occasionally (very rarely), but they only seem to have 4 eps out of the three series we made. They've just finished a run and there's an ep - Weird Magazines on BBCiPlayer till next Tuesday. I've put a Dave Hollins on YouTube with a couple of pics of our reunion and hope to get round to adding some more sometime https://www.youtube.com/embed/2clseRGGkVE

  5. I do have cassettes of Son of Cliche, although not as many as I thought. Need to dig them out and put them onto CD (along with episodes of In One Ear). Koved Capt Invisible & the See Through Kid and "The Attack of the Killer Italian Y-Fronts" which Rob & Doug re-used in Red Dwarf as the Polymorph
